In this special upcoming children’s literary event, created with permission from Kids Can Press, hear and learn about the children’s novel Paws + Edward with Norwegian author Espen Dekko and illustrator Mari Kanstad Johnsen! A heartbreaking and heart-lifting story of loss, the novel looks at best friends Edward and his dog Paws, who, after years of chasing rabbits, finds himself growing tired and wanting to rest. While still able to walk with Edward to the park twice a day, he one day just wants to lie in bed to fall asleep for one last time. A beautiful, simply told story about love and the conclusion of a life well spent, the book helps young readers to understand loss and how to continue to celebrate our loved ones when they’re gone.
