Clara Schumann’s Romance Op. 11, No. 2 (dedicated to Robert), her Romance Op. 21, No. 2 (dedicated to Brahms), Robert Schumann’s Novelettes for Clara, and Brahms’ Variations, Op. 18 and Paganini Variations, Op. 35, a gift to Clara. | ||||||||||
Triinu Taul Estonian musician, singer, and songwriter Triinu Taul performs works by Estonian composers, traditional folk music, Finno-Ugric songs, and pieces from her own repertory. Taul will play the Estonian bagpipes, Jew’s harp, and Scandinavian overtone flute, accompanied by Estonian musicians Peeter Rebane, guitar; Henno Kelp, bassist; and Roland Puusepp, drums. Accordionist Veli Kujala
Internationally-acclaimed Finnish concert accordionist, composer, and inventor of the quartertone accordion Veli Kujala makes his New York debut in a concert featuring his Hyperchromatic Counterpoint, pieces by contemporary Finnish composers Sampo Haapamäki and Olli Virtaperko, and transcriptions for concert accordion of music by Jean Sibelius, Niccolo Paganini, and J.S.
