The American-Scandinavian Foundation Depends on Its Supporters
Donors make the difference! Financial contributions from donors like you help the ASF continue its work to promote international understanding through educational and cultural exchange between the United States and the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Your Donation Helps The American-Scandinavian Foundation
The nationwide activities of The American-Scandinavian Foundation include exchange programs of study, research, and practical training. Each year, the ASF supports 125 students, scholars, professionals and artists, coming from and going to the Nordic countries, along with sponsoring 50-75 carefully chosen public projects. In addition, the training program enables 200 young Americans and Scandinavians to gain practical working experiences abroad in fields such as engineering, law, finance and agriculture.
When asked about highlights from his time as an ASF Trainee in the United States, Sebastian Eriksson of Sweden stated:
“The people; their open and welcoming attitude. I also loved the diverse cultures, and the major differences between different states and cities. The time at my training firm was great and a strong learning experience that I will benefit from in my future career.”
