Learn the Nordic languages this fall at Scandinavia House! At this level, students should be ready to deepen their knowledge of grammatical structure, especially sub-clauses. Students will also learn how to use the reflexive possessive pronoun and more specific ways to express the future tense. At the same time, reading comprehension will focus on more informational texts. The course also touches on cultural elements in regard to society, family and education. Students will be assigned literary books to read over the course of the semester.

This class will take place as hybrid learning on Mondays with classes offered online only, and Wednesdays in a hybrid format. There will be no class on October 14, November 11 and November 27.

At the end of the semester, students will know:

  • Indirect speech
  • Reflexive possessive pronouns
  • The future tense

Students will be able to:

  • Talk about their education and future plans, and retell stories shared with them.

Prerequisite: Swedish Advanced Beginner 1 or equivalent. Instructions for remote learning will be emailed upon registration. For questions about language levels, please contact Malin Tybahl. Tuition is $549 ($494.10 ASF Members); 15 hours total class time over 8 weeks.
