Tove’s talent is indisputable\, and as a woman\, her brilliance presents a threat to the chauvinistic literary culture of her era. Her success ignites her husband’s envy\, which he weaponizes against her in insidious ways. Tensions rise when the promising young author Klaus Rifbjerg\, a man unthreatened by modern womanhood\, comes to visit the couple.
