Celebrate the longest day of the year Scandinavian-style! In our annual celebration for families, we’ll fashion flower wreathes, learn traditional midsummer songs, and decorate the maypole from 1 to 3 PM.

This year, Dalarnas Fiddlers Association also joins us  from the heartland of traditional Swedish folk music — around Lake Siljan, where there’s a fiddle in every home — for a live performance! Accompanied by accordian and double bass, these fiddlers will perform marching tunes, waltz, schottish, and Swedish polska.

Enjoy the festivities with us on this day known to Scandinavians as one of non-stop merriment! This activity is best for families with kids ages 5 to 10. Advance registration for the craft activities is required (enroll at the link above).

The Dalarnas Fiddlers Association will perform here starting at 2 PM. Admission only to see the performers is free. For more information and to RSVP, click here.
