Jonas Poher Rasmussen, Denmark, 2021), Denmark’s official nomination for the 94th Academy Awards. *Screenings of this film event are limited to viewers based in New York, New Jersey, and California only. The screening will be available on January 15 for 24-hour period after start of viewing.*

Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winner Flee tells the story of Amin Nawabi as he grapples with a painful secret he has kept hidden for 20 years, one that threatens to derail the life he has built for himself and his soon-to-be husband. Director Jonas Poher Rasmussen depicts the refugee experience through vivid animation in a moving memoir hailed as “a feat of humanistic filmmaking… a movie we will be celebrating all through next year’s awards season and talking about long after” (Harper’s Bazaar) (89 min. In Danish with English subtitles)

Screenings will be available beginning Saturday, January 15 and will remain available to view for 24 hours after start of viewing. To download viewing instructions and an FAQ, please click here.
