This time native Icelanders Hildur Loftsdóttir and Steinunn Harðardóttir, with help from designer Védís Jónsdóttir, will build upon skills learned in the first knitting workshops by teaching – over the course of two Saturdays – how to knit in the round with two or more colors (stranded knitting). The project will be a húfa (hat), using circular and double pointed needles.

Participants need to know basic knitting techniques and are asked to bring their own knitting needles: circular 4.5mm/U.S. #7 double pointed and 16” circular needles. Exclusive design for these workshops by Védís with Icelandic lopi yarn will be provided by Istex.
