About Claire Parsons Co.

Claire Parsons’ dance works are playfully elegant, blending comedy and emotions in a particular and physically exciting look at the world. In the past she has choreographed opera and theater works; since 2005, Parsons has dedicated herself to creating high-quality stage works for young audiences.

Parsons’ work is acclaimed as visually exquisite, poetic, and dynamic, communicating directly with audiences. Marmalade! is the choreographer’s first dance production for young children and premiered at Zebradans in 2013. It has since been performed over 100 times in Sweden and in the U.S. In 2014 Parsons received the Stockholm Cultural Award from the City of Stockholm.

Marmalade! is supported in part by the Consulate General of Sweden in New York. Claire Parsons Co. is supported by The Swedish Arts Council and The Stockholm Cultural Council, with additional support from The Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
