Enchanting Tales from Norway
Did you know, long ago the bear had the longest and biggest tail in the forest? Have you ever seen a pancake rolling along, singing a song? Storyteller & musician Navida Stein tells two Norwegian favorites, Why the Bear has a Stumpy Tail and The Pancake and the Pig. LuAnn Adams will enchant children with a Norwegian “Cinderella” tale.
About the Hans Christian Andersen Storytellers
Since 1957, on Saturdays during the summer, New York City’s children have clustered around the Hans Christian Andersen statue near Conservatory Pond in Central Park to hear his and others’ fairytales, folk stories, and stories told by a dedicated group of professional storytellers.
When the weather turns cooler, the Hans Christian Andersen Storytellers bring their tales to Scandinavia House.
