Passes for each show comprise all season premiere episodes in the series; a Summer of Suspense TV pass comprise all premiere episodes of each series. Ticket sales will go to support Scandinavia House; all guests registered for the screenings will receive a promo code for 50% off of their first 3 months (1.5 months free) to Topic. \nA Nordic Noir classic\, The Bridge (Bron/Broen) follows Detective Saga Norén as she and her colleagues investigate a series of crimes committed around the bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark. \n\nWhen a body is found on the bridge between Sweden and Denmark\, Saga Norén from Malmö and Martin Rohde from Copenhagen will begin a hunt for a sadistic killer that will change both detectives forever. In Season 1\, episodes 1 & 2\, when a woman’s body is found on Øresund Bridge—on the border of Sweden and Denmark — detectives Saga and Martin are sent to investigate; but soon they realize it’s not one murder\, but two. DESCRIPTION:Our popular Summer Jazz Series returns to Scandinavia House\, with live performances in Volvo Hall! This summer we’re presenting performances from some of Scandinavia’s most talented young jazz musicians\, composers\, and singers on Thursday evenings in June and July. \nThe series begins on June 24 with Eeppi Ursin Duo\, featuring Eeppi Ursin on vocals & piano and Olli Hirvonen on guitar. During the program\, the artists will perform original music from Ursin’s previous and upcoming albums as well as unique versions of well-known classics. \nVisitors to Scandinavia House are required to follow all safety protocol while on-site\, including wearing masks\, observing social distancing rules in signage\, and maintaining a six-foot distance from all persons present that are not within your party. Any guests who do not follow posted safety measures or instructions from security or staff will be asked to leave with no refund. Her versatile career has taken her all around the world performing as a vocal  soloist at prestigious venues with acclaimed artists such as trumpeter Leroy Jones and Spirit of  New Orleans\, Vocal Ensemble Club For Five\, and UMO Jazz Orchestra\, to name a few. Eeppi is  currently working on her fourth solo album to be released next year. When the COVID -19  pandemic hit\, Eeppi started a livestream concert series called “Love Boat” on her social media platforms and welcomes everybody to join them while waiting for her new album. \nOlli Hirvonen is a Finnish guitarist currently based in Brooklyn\, NY. Fluent in various styles from jazz to rock to more experimental sounds\, he has formed a highly unique style combining these different influences. Hirvonen was the winner of the 2016 Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition.

After the events of Season 1\, Season 2 kicks off with a ship crashing into Øresund Bridge that is later found to hold three Swedish and two Danish youths who are both ill. Saga is sent to investigate and reunites with Martin\, as they make a disturbing discovery. In episode 2\, a video is posted online of four individuals wearing animal masks who claim responsibility for the attack. Meanwhile\, several deaths are reported as a result of eating poisoned grocery items. SUMMARY:Virtual Studio Visit with Pieper Bloomquist
DESCRIPTION:Visit the studio of Scandinavian folk artist and ASF Folk Art Fellow Pieper Bloomquist! Based in Grand Forks\, North Dakota\, Pieper studied Swedish Dalmålning (Kurbits) and Bonadsmålning\, and has been painting in traditional Scandinavian styles of folk art since 1993. Pieper enjoys utilizing elements from folk art traditions to tell modern stories\, incorporating the floral forms\, borders\, layout and perspective of the past to depict scenes that — while personal to her — portray universal human experiences and daily activities of growing up in the upper Midwest. She enjoys placing playful\, contemporary scenes in the context of traditional Swedish flower and scroll formations. \nIn this visit premiering on Saturday\, June 26\, Pieper will share the differences between various Scandinavian art forms\, revealing a bit of her painting process\, and experiences working as an artist (as well as an oncology nurse) during the pandemic. \nThe Studio Visit will premiere on this page at 2 PM ET on June 26 via YouTube and Facebook\, and remain available to stream here through July 3. Currently a Grand Forks\, North Dakota resident\, Pieper has been active in programs sponsored by the North Dakota Council on the Arts (NDCA) as a Master Artist teaching Swedish Dalmålning. \nIn 2018 she was granted a Folk Arts Fellowship through the American-Scandinavian Foundation\, studying folk painting of Sweden and helping to perpetuate that tradition across North Dakota and Minnesota.
