DESCRIPTION:Learn about Nordic art in this hands-on\, in-person drawing course pairing brief informal lectures on celebrated Nordic artists with guided transcription and drawing exercises. Each 2.5-hour session\, led by artist Charity Baker\, will begin with a 30-minute artist overview\, followed by demonstrations and 1.5 hours of drawing directly from works using graphite\, charcoal\, ink\, or colored pencils. This week\, we’ll turn our focus to Greenland. \nThis adult art workshop will deepen participants’ familiarity with key Scandinavian artists and art movements from 5 countries. Weekly classes can be taken individually or as a complete group to study historic and contemporary Scandinavian approaches to line\, tone\, composition\, and texture. \nThis workshop is part of a 6-session series; you can choose between single tickets or a ticket bundle. She has been committed after living a wandering\, decadent life\, marked by episodes of “madness” once a month caused by severe menstrual pain. Amanda considers her stay on the island strictly temporary\, but as she begins to form bonds with the other women\, doubt takes root. Nordic Practice Dialogue brings together architectural voices from Denmark\, Sweden\, Finland\, and Norway to discuss how transformation and reuse are shaping contemporary architectural practice.
