On October 8, Enjoy a special concert celebrating the 150th anniversary of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, one of Lithuania’s most prominent artists, and the cultural ties between Lithuania and the United States. The program, performed by acclaimed Lithuanian musicians Rokas Zubovas and Gleb Pyšniak, features works by Čiurlionis and renowned contemporary Lithuanian composer Žibuoklė Martinaitytė, who composed a unique piece for this landmark commemoration. The concert also showcases works by world-famous Litvak and American composers, including Joseph Achron, George Gershwin, and Philip Glass. Čiurlionis in Glass is not only a tribute to Čiurlionis’ legacy, but also a living dialogue: between Lithuanian and American musical cultures, between past and present.
Tickets to this event must be reserved in advance online.
