Beginning in June, we are collaborating with the streaming service Topic to bring you a taste of classic Nordic Noir! Topic will be launching every season of the series Follow the Money, The Bridge and The Killing throughout the summer. A Nordic Noir classic, The Bridge (Bron/Broen) follows Detective Saga Norén as she and her colleagues investigate a series of crimes committed around the bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark.
When a body is found on the bridge between Sweden and Denmark, Saga Norén from Malmö and Martin Rohde from Copenhagen will begin a hunt for a sadistic killer that will change both detectives forever. In Season 1, episodes 1 & 2, when a woman’s body is found on Øresund Bridge—on the border of Sweden and Denmark — detectives Saga and Martin are sent to investigate; but soon they realize it’s not one murder, but two. Before long, the killer has announced that the murder on the bridge is just the beginning; when he reveals his mission, Saga and Martin realize they’re dealing with a far more calculated killer than they imagined.
Screenings of The Bridge Season 2 (episodes 1 & 2) will continue from July 8-11, followed by Season 3 (episodes 1 & 2) from July 15-18, and Season 4 (episodes 1 & 2) from July 22-25. The Summer of Suspense series will continue with screenings of The Killing in August.
