Are you feeling very comfortable with your new knitting skills? Can you cast on, knit and purl and do a rib on your own and with ease? If so, and you feel like you’re ready to try something new, come join us and make two-needle mittens!
Join us in a relaxed, supportive and creative workshop – and at the end of the month go home with a new pair of two-needle simple mittens! Over a period of 4 weeks, we’ll follow a pattern that requires you to stretch your abilities and learn new techniques. The pattern includes ribbing, K2tog, increasing stitches, slipping stitches (sl1st), decreasing stitches with slip stitch over (psso), sewing seams, and using stitch holders.
• For women’s medium size: Bring 4 oz of pre-balled worsted wool in any color and 1 pair of straight knitting needles No. 5 US.
• For men’s medium size: Bring 4 oz of pre-balled worsted wool in two balls (you’ll be knitting with double yarn) and 1 pair of straight knitting needles No. 8 US.
You’ll also need small stitch holders and a tapestry needle (a big-eyed needle)
We strongly suggest that you have a proven comfortability with knitting and purling in order to take on this project.
* This workshop series is for ages 18+.*
