NEW NORDIC CINEMASeries

MoreFilms

On September 21, see the moving heartwarming new Danish drama Oh, To Be a Butterfly /Lille sommerfugl (dir. Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, Denmark, 2020) at Scandinavia House!

Stubborn pig farmer Ernst (Jesper Christensen) and his wife Louise (Karen-Lise Mynster) are celebrating their golden anniversary with a festive party at the local assembly hall, inviting friends and family to an evening of pop hits and lots of dancing.

But the family hides several secrets — and Ernst holds the biggest one.

Over the course of a long, surprising, and wistful evening filled with laughter, songs, and speeches, the truths will gradually come forth, putting them all to a serious test.

Special thanks to the Danish Film Institute.
