“The best kind of straight-faced absurdism”—see Mads Mikkelsen and Nikolaj Lie Kaas in the outrageous black comedy The Last Viking from Danish director Anders Thomas Jensen!
Anker (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) has been released from prison following a 15-year sentence for robbery. Back then, the money from the heist was buried by Ankers’ brother Manfred—and only he knows where it is. Unfortunately, Manfred has since developed a mental illness causing him to forget all. Together, the brothers embark on an unexpected journey to locate the money and discover who they really are (Denmark, 2026).
“A perceptive take on men’s mental health—not through struggles, but a delightful mix of genre, meta-textuality, and positive affirmation masked as a Beatles song”—Film Threat
