In a new series of workshops, children will compare paintings by artists like Caravaggio, Rembrandt, and Vermeer with photographs from Darkness & Light: Contemporary Nordic Photography to explore how the effects of light – and dark –

have been captured and transformed in various art forms over the years. Inspired by what they’ve learned, children will then develop their own compositions using watercolor, gouache, acrylic, printmaking, and collage.
