In their debut performance at Scandinavia House, the Uppsala University Chamber Ensemble will present the U.S. premiere of the Piano Quartet by romantic Norwegian composer Catharinus Elling, as well as works by Swedish composers Viking Dahl and Arne Mellnäs.
Mozart’s beloved Quartet for Oboe and Strings opens the program, thereby grounding the program in the grand tradition of European chamber music. The performers, all members of the Royal Academic Orchestra, will be led by Stefan Karpe, and joined by Paul-André Bempéchat, pianist and Artist-in-Residence at Leverett House Harvard University.
