Tickets are now available for the ASF 2026 Spring Gala! Please join us on May 7, 2026, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Scandinavia House at the Plaza Hotel with an evening of distinguished guests.
The evening will feature the presentation of the ASF Gold Medal to ASF Trustee Barbro Osher, one of the most generous, supportive Trustees since joining the board in 1995. Edward Gallagher, ASF President for 30 years, will be honored on the eve of his retirement with the ASF Niels Poulsen Award for his dedicated service. Honoring these two extraordinary individuals aligns perfectly with our 25th Anniversary Celebration of the remarkable accomplishments of Scandinavian House.
Since opening in October 2000, Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America has been the permanent home for the American-Scandinavian Foundation to promote intellectual and cultural exchange between the United States and the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Designed by the internationally renowned Polshek Partnership Architects (now Ennead Architects), Scandinavia House is a leading forum for Nordic culture through exhibitions; screenings and talks on critically acclaimed Nordic cinema; lectures, symposia, and concerts; and family workshops and programs. Since opening, Scandinavia House has welcomed more than 3 million visitors attending over 3,000 programs.
