MIDTOWN CULTURAL ALLIANCE — SPRING 2026

Returning from March 26 — April 5, 2026, join us for a second Open House program of the Midtown Cultural Alliance (MCA), a presenters’ union founded by Scandinavia HouseJapan SocietyThe Korea SocietyKorean Cultural Center, and L’Alliance New York to highlight midtown NYC as a global cultural destination!

In this collaboration, our five cultural centers—located mere blocks from one another in Midtown East—are aiming to redefine our locality as a signature destination neighborhood, serving up the best traditional and contemporary art, music, film, and performance from around the world, right here in Midtown.

Following the successful launch of the inaugural Open House events in September 2025, MCA’s second cross-organizational Open House beginning March 26 will offer both free and paid programming spread across all five partner organizations. MCA invites visitors to experience our locality as one of New York’s signature destination neighborhoods. Upon attendance to any one event at any of the five organizations during this Open House, a participant will receive a special “passport” and collect a stamp. Once collecting three stamps on their passport, a participant may then redeem a free gift from up to three different organizations of their choice. (Please refer to the MCA website for more detailed information.)

Events at Scandinavia House over the second program include a screening of The Good Traitor on Thursday, March 26; a Lux Audience Awards screening of Deaf (Sorda) on Friday, March 27; a Mail Art Workshop with Riitta Ikonen and a Nordic Knit-In on Saturday, March 28; and a Silver Anniversary Rescreen of Woman at War on Wednesday, April 1.
